Hi, everybody! It’s me again. I have to apologize for my recent inconsistency, but I have been brainstorming for the past few weeks trying to figure out my path in this blogging world. Blogging is something I truly enjoy and I’m passionate about, so I want to make sure I share great stories and information. I have been working on a set schedule for my posts so you know exactly what to expect in the future. If you wish to see more posts on a certain topic, please leave a comment below! On Sundays, I would like to share a recap of the most interesting moments of the week as a family of 4.
This week has been pretty great! On a fun note, I accepted a part-time job on Saturdays for only 4 hours. I am working as a promoter for a drink called VOCO, which consists of Vodka and coconut water. It comes in a small can, so 10 mL is coconut water and the other 2mL is vodka. It has 5.5% of alcohol, so it’s basically like drinking a beer. The great part of it is that you get hydrated with electrolytes while you drink. Not bad for this excruciating hot Vegas weather! It’s currently being sold in Arizona, Las Vegas, California, and Miami. I’ll be working every Saturday until pool season ends which is probably by mid-October. I’m happy I can save up some cash without affecting the time with my kids. That has always been extremely important for me. I stopped working full-time the week before Julianna was born. I now want to make sure I give an equal amount of attention and love to Rocco as well.
This past Friday, my husband and I decided to host a dinner party with some friends from our neighborhood. I met them on the Facebook group for Inspirada Moms. When my husband and I moved to Inspirada, I immediately decided to introduce myself in the Facebook group so I could meet some mommy friends and have play dates with our kiddos. The dinner party ended up being a great success! I can proudly say that Joey and I executed a beautiful dinner. As an appetizer, we made an heirloom tomato and burrata salad drizzled with a balsamic glaze. As an entrée, we made rigatoni with bell pepper and asparagus in a creamy sun-dried tomato sauce. Garlic bread with ghee and parsley is a must with any Italian inspired dinner that we make. We paired everything with an array of delicious wines. Our friends were extremely happy and thankful for taking the initiative to host a beautiful evening like this one.
Our date night was also an awesome part of the week. We have been trying to make it a habit of spending quality alone time together. We try to disconnect from everything and just have some organic talks with each other. We decided to go to a restaurant called Herbs and Rye. We sat at the bar, ordered a flatbread to share, and had a glass of wine throughout our awesome and funny conversations. It’s incredible what a few hours of alone time with your significant other can do to a relationship’s connection.
We usually dedicate Joey’s days off to the kids. We try to take them to different places and spend as much family time as we can. This week we decided to take Julianna to eat some chocolate ice cream – her ultimate favorite. I ordered a Strawberry cream ice cream and once she tasted it, she took over it.
We also had lunch at Craft Kitchen which is always delicious as well.
Aside from our crazy schedule, I always make sure to put in the work at Cyclebar and at the gym to stay in shape and to relax the mind. I like to cycle a few times a week for cardio and then I like to go to the gym 5 times a week. So far, it has worked wonders for me! Obviously, this is followed by a healthy and organic diet.
That’s pretty much all for this week! Don’t forget that if you wish to see more of a certain topic, please leave a comment below! It’s always great feedback!
Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday!
